We love jam. And farming. And each other.
An abundance of berries growing wild on our land led to the idea of making jam and sharing it with the community.
We both share experience in retail and passions for photography, the outdoors, music, and food.
Matt
Matt’s upbringing in farming, experience running a CSA, and leadership in culinary education support the production of our jams, jellies, and other farm goods.
Michael
Michael’s background in website development, ecommerce, and design helps ensure our goods stay accessible in person and at events.
What We Make
Jams are our jam. But we also produce other food and farm-based goods.
Our prepared food items are produced in-house in accordance with the Minnesota Cottage Food Law. Matt's experience as a SafeServ-certified professional and career in culinary technical education ensure that we keep food safety top of mind throughout production.
The Cottage Food Law also dictates what we're allowed to ship from online purchases, which is why some of our products need to be picked up or delivered. But that's ok - it just means we get to see folks in person!
That's also why following us on social media or signing up for emails is so important - since we sell primarily in person, we use those channels to communicate where we'll be selling next, usually at a farmer's market or event with other local vendors.
Ingredients
We prioritize what nature provides on our own land for use as ingredients. Occasionally, we need to supplement our ingredients with fruits from local farms and markets to maintain production demand.
However, when a fruit is out of season, an item may remain out of stock until we can ensure a pure, high-quality supply again.
Consistency
Due to the fluctuating availability of seasonal ingredients and the variety of characteristics that can emerge from year to year, or even batch to batch, our goods follow a similar rhythm to wine vintages.
We let nature shape our ingredients, which gives each batch its unique flavors.
